| PROJECT IN THE NORTHEAST We are very excited about our adoption program in north east China. We are working with this large church in Northeast China to develop an adoption program among their congregation. The pastor and the church have a heart for orphans. Since Rick & Chris visited with them in 2005, the church has obtained a license to open an orphanage. They are using a group home model rather than a large institution to care for the orphans in their area. Their desire is that the children stay in the group homes for as little time as possible and then be adopted into families in their church. Lotus Buds International is providing the training these group home parents need to minister to the children in their care. In the Spring of 2007 the first child was adopted by a family in the church. |
